About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity to replace and upgrade microwave communications equipment for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Remote Video Surveillance System Northern Border (RVSS-NB) in the Buffalo, NY area.
The SOW requires the contractor to provide technical services to replace existing ODU300 radios with ODU600v2 radios, update firmware on associated microwave equipment, and replace an INU shelf and associated cards at one of the four tower sites (BUN-010, BUN-011, BUN-012, and BUN-013). The contractor will be responsible for all labor, travel, tools, materials, and subcontracting services to complete the upgrade. The work must meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lightning grounding and bonding shielding specifications. The government estimates the required equipment for the upgrade, but the contractor is ultimately responsible for providing all necessary equipment and materials.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation announcement seeking sources for the technical services described in the SOW. The FAA intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price contract using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation process. Interested vendors are requested to provide a statement of interest, project-specific information, and a rough order of magnitude cost estimate by October 4, 2024. The FAA may set aside the contract for small business, 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned, or woman-owned small business concerns based on the responses received.
