About this file

The document is a Question & Answer (Q&A) addendum for Contract No. TE25008, issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) on March 11, 2025, concerning Arrow and Speed Board Trailers. The Q&A addresses specific vendor inquiries about the procurement, clarifying key details such as the intent to purchase (not rent) trailers, specification requirements for Connected Work Zones (CWZ), and confirming a minimum 25-bulb configuration for arrow board trailers. The solicitation seeks to award up to eight contracts, with two contracts potentially awarded per trailer type, and is structured as a five-year contract with firm fixed pricing and best value selection criteria.

The Q&A document provides critical clarification on technical specifications and procurement intentions, reinforcing WSDOT's comprehensive approach to acquiring specialized transportation equipment. The solicitation emphasizes open-source information sharing for Connected Work Zones and maintains specific technical requirements for trailers. Vendors are directed to contact TEFBids@wsdot.wa.gov for any additional questions, highlighting the agency's commitment to transparent communication throughout the procurement process. The document supports the broader procurement goals of diversifying vendor participation, ensuring technical compliance, and establishing multiple vendor relationships across different trailer types.
