About this file
The document is a References section of a solicitation from the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (Procurement Services) for Request No. BPM004542, seeking 750 Minimum and Low Custody Contract Beds. The solicitation is submitted by GEO Secure Services, LLC, a private corrections company with multiple detention facilities across different states. The references include documentation from facilities in Arizona, California, Virginia, and other locations, demonstrating the company's prior contract performance.
The solicitation seeks contract beds for minimum and low custody inmates, with references highlighting GEO's experience managing detention facilities housing various security classifications (High, Medium High, Medium Low, and Low). The referenced contracts involve facilities with capacities ranging from 120 to 1,940 beds, providing 24/7 detention services with comprehensive requirements including safe confinement, recreation, meal services, visitation, legal resources, and programming. The contracts typically have terms of several years, with some including potential renewal options. While most references indicate satisfactory performance, a few note challenges such as medical unit staffing during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating the company's ongoing operational adaptability.
