About this file

This is a specification document for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Day Labor division for the procurement of a Bridge Inspection Crane Truck. The agency seeks to purchase one specialized vehicle equipped for bridge inspection operations. The document outlines detailed technical specifications and performance requirements for the crane truck, including chassis specifications, crane configuration, safety features, and operational capabilities necessary to support IDOT's bridge inspection program. The specifications establish minimum standards for vehicle construction, weight capacity, reach requirements, and inspection equipment integration to ensure the purchased truck meets the department's operational needs for safe and efficient bridge inspection activities.

The specification document details engineering requirements and construction standards that bidders must meet when submitting proposals for the bridge inspection crane truck. Key technical parameters include chassis type and specifications, crane lifting capacity and reach, safety certification requirements, and compliance with federal and state transportation regulations. The document establishes performance standards for the vehicle's operation in various weather and terrain conditions while supporting multiple bridge inspection methodologies. No specific pricing information, contract term details, or award timeline is included in this specification document, as it serves primarily as a technical requirements guide for prospective vendors to ensure their proposed equipment meets IDOT Day Labor's operational standards and safety specifications.
