(6) Can you advise if there are any international transportation requirements as part of this RFP? Specifically, shipments to/from Buenos Aires and the US or other countries? If so, can you indicate modes or volumes? From reading the details it sounds like there is a lot of local movement, clearance, packing services, etc. The RFP mentions several sentences about ocean transport minimum sizes but does not indicate specifics on the transportation requirements. Will transportation pricing be required as part of the submission? If so, can you direct me to where this would be needed in the reply?
The international transportation requirements can be found in sections B (j) of the amended solicitation posted in Fedbizopps. They are treated as reimbursables so rates do not need to be quoted.
(7) On page 5 of 67, point (a) Packing Services (2) UAB and general effects. Please tell me what UAB stands for.
UAB stands for unaccompanied air baggage. It is the approximately 250 lb. shipment that American officers and staff can send to their next posting. This is treated as a reimbursable ítem (see sections B (j) of the amended solicitation posted in Fedbizopps.
