About this file

This document is a Supplemental Specifications file for the Pinellas County FY 2024 Pavement Preservation Package 2, involving road and street construction specifications prepared by Pinellas County in Florida. The project encompasses four paving locations, including one arterial project (Park Boulevard Resurfacing from Oakhurst Road to Seminole Boulevard) and three local group neighborhood projects (Local Groups 66, 73, and 93), totaling approximately 31.2 miles of roadway. The contract covers various road construction activities including Superpave Asphalt Concrete installation, milling existing asphalt pavement, and utility adjustments such as valve box and manhole ring and cover grade modifications.

The specifications detail precise requirements for asphalt concrete mixtures, including restrictions on recycled asphalt pavement (limited to 25%), and specify that work shall be performed on arterials, collectors, local roadways, intersections, cul-de-sacs, driveways, medians, and turn lanes. Payment for most items will be calculated per ton of material installed or per each unit of work completed, with no extra compensation for standard project conditions. The contract references multiple technical specifications, including Pinellas County Standard Supplemental Specifications for Roadway and General Construction (April 2022), Pinellas County Utilities Department Technical Specifications (June 2018), and Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications (July 2022).
