About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for strong motion monitoring equipment issued by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation).
Reclamation seeks to procure ten (10) accelerographs, ten (10) accelerometers, and ten (10) digitizers for recording ground motions from earthquakes that may impact Reclamation facilities. The equipment will enable quantification of on-site peak ground accelerations to inform dam managers and engineers on site inspection response protocols and provide continuous recorded waveforms for assessment of structural properties and numerical model verification. All recorders must integrate with Reclamation's existing Strong Motion Monitoring Program Realtime Data Acquisition System. The specified equipment includes Titan SMA brand accelerographs or equal, Titan brand accelerometers or equal, and Centaur brand digitizers. Key specifications include triaxial force balance accelerometers with selectable full-scale ranges (±0.5g to ±4g), minimum 155 dB dynamic range, DC to 200 Hz minimum bandwidth, 24-bit digitization with 145 dB minimum dynamic range at 100 sps, 8 GB internal flash storage with external 64 GB removable media capability, MiniSEED file format, Ethernet connectivity supporting SEEDlink real-time data streaming, GNSS/PTP/NTP timing capability with sub-microsecond UTC accuracy, and operation across -20°C to +60°C temperature range with IP67-IP68 environmental ratings. Delivery is required within 90 days of award to the Denver Federal Center. Quotations must be submitted electronically via email and include solicitation number/title, company name, DUNS, contact information, pricing on the provided Price Schedule B, technical capability documentation with cut sheets and product specifications, warranty terms and conditions, and lead time for delivery. Incomplete submissions lacking required information will be deemed non-responsive and excluded from award consideration.

Strong Motion Monitoring Program Strong Motion Monitoring Equipment
The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has a requirement to procure ten (10) accelerographs, ten (10) accelerometers, and ten (10) digitizers for recording of ground motions from earthquakes that may impact Reclamation facilities. These recorders will enable Reclamation to quantify on-site peak ground accelerations from a seismic event providing critical information for dam managers and local engineers to determine if an immediate site inspection response protocol has to be implemented; And provide continuous recorded waveforms for assessment of structure’s natural modes, verification of numerical models, evaluation of local attenuation properties, and other applications related to the quantification of engineering properties of Reclamation facilities. The recorders procured must assimilate into the existing Strong Motion Monitoring Program Realtime Data Acquisition System.
