About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to the bidding documents for the Stonegate Trail Culvert Replacement project issued by the City of Perry, Georgia. The project involves replacing four existing 48-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) culverts with three 5-foot by 10-foot concrete box culverts, along with associated site work including paving, drainage systems, headwalls, and aprons. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with sealed bids due on June 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Perry administration building located at 1211 Washington Street. The addendum provides clarifications on 11 specific technical and contractual questions, including traffic control requirements, paving specifications, construction means and methods, temporary drainage maintenance, headwall details, stone bed requirements, and removal/disposal procedures for existing culverts. Contractors are required to submit an appropriate traffic control plan compliant with Georgia Department of Transportation requirements and must include costs for maintaining temporary storm drain systems as part of line item 13 (demolition). The contractor is responsible for removing four existing 48-inch RCP culverts and delivering them to 500 Ball Street in Perry, while assuming no liability for damage to the existing RCP during removal.
The project is locally funded by the City of Perry under Contract No. 2025-35, with ISE Project No. 1013.2403. Bidding documents are available for download at no charge from www.intse.com; however, bidders must submit a $25.00 payment to Integrated Science & Engineering to become qualified to submit a bid. The addendum addresses specific cost inclusions, requiring contractors to include a 12-inch thick layer of No. 57 stone under all box culverts and aprons in their bid pricing for line items 15 and 16 respectively. The city does not require retention of brick headwalls and will not provide existing asphalt depth information; contractors must assume this as an unknown variable in their estimates. The project specifications reference GDOT detail 1120 for headwall design and require adherence to Section 01 55 26 of the contract documents for traffic control procedures.
