About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the 180th Fighter Wing at the Toledo Air National Guard Base in Swanton, Ohio, detailing a replacement project for two Hastings Make Up Air Units (MAUs) on Building 124. The project requires a contractor to procure and install two new MAUs that are compatible with existing roofing flanges, with a focus on U.S. manufactured equipment. Key requirements include removing existing units, installing new units, reconnecting electrical and gas systems, commissioning the new equipment, and providing associated documentation such as O&M manuals and warranty documents. A mandatory site visit is required for bidding, with bids valid for 90 days, and the work must be phased to maintain continuous flight access and aircraft staging.
The project does not specify precise budget or funding details but emphasizes contractor responsibilities for equipment procurement, installation, disposal of old units, and comprehensive site management. The contractor must follow federal and state disposal regulations, complete a solid waste tracking form, and ensure compatibility with the base's existing Johnson Controls (JCI) direct digital control (DDC) system. The project includes a one-year warranty, with the contractor responsible for protecting government property, maintaining a clean and safe job site, and complying with Occupational Safety and Health Act provisions. Point of contact for the project are Maj Eric Hoelle and Lt Col Roger Nienberg, who can be reached at provided telephone numbers.
