About this file

This is a Statement of Work for maintenance and support services of a Rauland-Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call system at Sheridan VA Medical Center in Wyoming. The Contractor shall provide all necessary software, labor, personnel, and equipment to maintain the system, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation of software updates, patches, fixes, and security updates as identified by either the Contractor or the VAMC. The Contractor must provide one copy of each new software release from the manufacturer, which shall include generally available error corrections, modifications, maintenance patches, enhancements, and revised user documentation. All software implementation, on-site service technician support, and staff training must be completed by a Clinical Application Specialist during upgrades or after major updates, and the Contractor shall provide 20 annual support hours available at the VAMC's discretion.

The related presolicitation notice indicates the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19 intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order to Beacon Communications, LLC for these Rauland-Borg Nurse Call System software updates. Market research and an OEM confirmation letter dated May 7, 2026, confirm Beacon Communications is the only qualified source. The notice is not a competitive solicitation but allows other firms to submit written evidence of capability by August 6, 10:00 AM Mountain Time to aaron.thurber@va.gov. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of response. A Justification and Approval will be executed and posted for the contract.
