Statement of Work
This statement of work is for the purchase of a Cylinder Grinder used to meet perpendicularity and planeness compliance in accordance with ASTM C 1856 and specifically for Ultra High Performance Concrete(UHCP). The cylinder grinder will also be used to grind hot mix and rock core specimens in accordance with AASHTO PP 99 and ASTM D 7012 respectively. Grinder must have ability to grind no less than three samples size 38 to 100mm at one time. Grinder must be constructed to ensure corrosion resistance and easy access to cleaning.
Specification/Requirements
A. Cylinder Grinder Designed and meets ASTM C 1856 planeness and perpendicularity requirements for UHCP specimen preparations.
• Fully automated with simple operations.
• Accommodate any size from 38-100mm.
• Must ensure final specimen after grinding meets the requirement of ends do not depart perpendicularity more than 0.05 degrees and ground to plane within 0.050mm
• Must grind at least three 38-100mm specimens at one operation.
• Must be constructed for ease of cleaning and removal of debris after operation.
• Must be constructed to avoid corrosion.
• Must be mobile and easily moved.
• Must prevent users from exposer to water and dust
• Must be delivered in factory working condition to address below

1. Equipment must be fully supported for operations and wear parts from manufacturer.
