The vendor shall fabricate and assemble two model PL 8-120 collection tanks according to Duratek Drawing C-042-046941-001, with multiple modifications and clarifications detailed throughout the document. The LPRCTs must achieve a useable volume of at least 600 gallons and be capable of receiving contents at temperatures up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
The specification requires extensive modifications to the baseline design, including installation of a support collar assembly per Energy Solutions Drawing COLSC-000644, replacement of the closure pan assembly per Energy Solutions Drawing COLSC-000047, and integration of a dewatering system consisting of four 1-micron panel filters with 4 filtration and drainage layers. The closure pan must include specific penetrations for media inlet (3-inch camlock), dewatering connection (1½-inch camlock), vent connection with cyclonic separator (2-inch camlock), ultrasonic level detection transmitter, camera and light housings (1½-inch camlock each), and camera/light lens flush connections (3/8-inch quick disconnect). All components must be fabricated from corrosion-resistant materials, with non-hazardous coatings approved by NNSY. The vendor must perform calibrated fill testing, hydrostatic/pneumatic pressure testing at 5 psig, dewatering system testing, and provide wire rope breaking strength certification and drop weight impact testing per ASTM E208 or Charpy impact testing per ASTM A370 for the lifting bail assembly. Delivery is to Energy Solutions' Barnwell Logistics facility in South Carolina, with storage capability for up to 48 months. The vendor must provide comprehensive certifications of compliance, inspection/test reports, dimensional verification, calibration data, and handling procedures, submitted via email to specified Navy contacts.
