About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the repair and reconditioning of a 12" End-Suction Centrifugal Type pump for Malmstrom Air Force Base's Heating Plant. The pump, manufactured by Goulds Pumps (Model 3700 L), requires comprehensive restoration, including replacing critical components such as the shaft, wear rings, and mechanical seal. The contractor must be an ITT Goulds Pumps IPD certified agent and will perform extensive refurbishment tasks, including welding repairs, machining, balancing, and installing new parts like PFA/Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composite wear rings and a Grade 410 SS shaft.
The project has a 60-day performance period from contract award, with the government responsible for pump shipment to the contractor and subsequent installation. Specific delivery requirements include providing a detailed work scope report, mechanical seal drawing, spare parts list, as-built running clearances, air test results, and a dynamic balance report on the impeller. The contractor must use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, prepare the pump for shipping by removing external components, and deliver it to Malmstrom AFB Heating Plant tagged with the contract number.
