About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a heating system modification project at San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School (IE130). The project involves re-routing the supply and return heating water system to address inadequate heating in the older wing of the BIA-operated K-8 school, which serves approximately 164 Native American students and has been operational since 1871.

The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and personnel to remove existing piping, dispose of it at approved landfills, and install new components. Specific tasks include removing the current three-way valve, installing a new butterfly valve to improve water circulation, and testing the modified system for proper operation and water temperatures. Pre-contract requirements include conducting a site walkthrough and submitting a detailed routing sketch before contract award. The contractor must submit a Safety Plan and Job Hazard Analysis to Facility Manager Nancy R. Lewis prior to construction start, coordinate all work with the School Maintenance Worker during operating hours (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday), and provide a minimum one-year labor warranty. The period of performance is 45 days from Notice to Proceed, and all work must comply with the BIA School Facilities Design Handbook and various federal codes including NFPA 5000, National Electrical Codes, ASHRAE Standards, ADA guidelines, and OSHA regulations.
