Statement of Requirements

WET WEATHER/COLD WEATHER CLOTHING FOR SECURITY FORCES PERSONNEL

1.0 PURPOSE. The 42 SFS is looking to procure wet weather/cold weather gear for members. Provisions will ensure health, safety, and operational effectiveness of squadron personnel performing gate security and law enforcement duties at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. Members are directly impacted by exposure to the region's variable and often harsh weather conditions. Maxwell AFB experiences both high heat and humidity during the summer, and periods of significant cold and wet weather during the winter months. Providing appropriate wet and cold weather gear is essential because Defenders are not issued environmentally appropriate gear prior to arrival at the 42 SFS. Supplying this equipment is crucial for maintaining operational readiness, enhancing physical, and mental well-being, and ensuring professional appearance and morale.
