BUILDING 475 AUDIO-VISUAL MODERNIZATIONS

18 July 2025

PURPOSE

De ine, design and install an audio-visual overhaul/ upgrade in Building (Bldg.) 475 at Volk Field Air National Guard Base (ANGB). Bldg. 475 currently runs large presentations across ive assembly rooms (A, B, C, D, E).

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Volk Field Air National Guard Base plays a vital role in supporting National Defense efforts, and it’s essential to ensure that the facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology to support the diverse operational needs of the conference center. This SOO outlines the approach to de ining, designing, and installing a Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Compliant Audiovisual equipment in ive(5) conference rooms in Building 475 (see Attachment 1) to improve communication, training, and operational ef iciency for personnel. The project will include the installation and integration of multiple audio, video, and conferencing components, along with equipment racks and related accessories. Respondents will be responsible for verifying all physical dimensions on-site before proceeding with system design and layout. Rooms A-D should combine audio-visual capabilities.

OBJECTIVE(S)

The objective of this effort is to upgrade the existing Audio Visual (AV) system to meet current operational, training, and presentation requirements. The current AV infrastructure is outdated, lacks compatibility with modern devices, and does not support the high-quality audio and video standards necessary for effective communication and collaboration. Upgrading to current AV equipment will enhance functionality, improve reliability, and ensure seamless integration with contemporary platforms and technologies. This modernization will support mission-critical brie ings, virtual meetings, instructional sessions, and multimedia presentations, enabling users to operate ef iciently in both in-person and remote environments. The upgraded system must be user-friendly, scalable, and capable of supporting future technological enhancements.

The audiovisual upgrade project at Volk Field shall be executed through a structured process to ensure alignment with base operational needs and future scalability. The initiative will begin with a thorough assessment of each room's requirements, involving coordination with base personnel and Cyber experts to de ine necessary capabilities. Based on this assessment, customized solutions will be designed for each of the ive rooms in Building 475, incorporating modern components such as monitors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools. Once designs are inalized, installation and integration follow, carried out by the contractor in close collaboration with quali ied staff, with emphasis on industry standards and quality assurance. Following installation, tailored training and support programs will be provided to ensure base personnel are equipped to operate and maintain the new systems effectively. The project will conclude with evaluation and feedback collection from Cyber personnel to measure usability and identify any areas for enhancement, ensuring long-term value and mission effectiveness.
