About this file

This document is a National Fire Alarm Code Record of Completion certification for Pinellas County's STAR Center Buildings, prepared by Advanced Engineered Systems Corp. The certification covers fire alarm system installations across multiple building groups: Buildings 100 and 500, Buildings 200/550/800, and Buildings 400/600 located at 7887 Brian Dairy Road, Largo, Florida 33777. The systems comply with NFPA 72 standards (Chapters 1-7) and NFPA 70 National Electrical Code Article 760. Buildings 200/550/800 were inspected on January 15, 2023 and certified on January 30, 2023, while Buildings 400/600 were inspected on August 1, 2022 and certified on August 4, 2022. Each system includes manual fire alarm stations, automatic smoke and duct detectors, sprinkler waterflow switches, valve supervisory switches, and various alarm notification appliances including horns, strobes, and visual signals. Building 200/550/800 includes 9 manual stations, 4 smoke detectors, 5 duct detectors, 3 valve supervisory switches, 25 horns, and 34 visual signals; Building 400/600 includes 9 manual stations, 14 smoke detectors, 4 duct detectors, 4 valve supervisory switches, 23 horns, and 32 visual signals with one local annunciator.

Both system installations feature central station monitoring via digital cellular alarm communicators as the sole transmission path, with State Alarm providing monitoring services outside the contract scope. Primary power is supplied at 120 VAC with 20-amp breaker protection, backed by 12 amp-hour storage batteries with 24-hour calculated capacity for 60-hour system operation. The signaling line circuits utilize Style 4 configuration per NFPA 72 Table 3-6.1. All systems were inspected by Advanced Engineered Systems personnel and signed off by Osvaldo Campos (installer/supplier) and Scott Ruhmel (owner representative), with Daryl Naskale representing Pinellas County. No system deviations from NFPA standards were noted in the completion certificates.
