SS1301-17-RP-0003 AMENDMENT 0002
DOC ENTERPRISE-WIDE FURNITURE INITIATIVE
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q1. The Government response to questions 11 and 54 indicated a revised
Attachment_J1_and_J2_Furniture_Price_Proposal (Pricing Attachment) will be provided by the Government. A material element of this proposal response is pricing, and typically acquisitions of this magnitude require ample response time from specified manufacturer(s). Therefore, it appears it would be in the Government’s best interest to allow additional response time for offerors to receive competitive pricing from the ten (10) list manufacturers. As the revised Pricing Attachment has not yet been posted for this Solicitation and there are currently only six (6) business days prior to the current proposal overnight mailing date, will the Government extend the proposal due date as the offerors are required to obtain competitive pricing from ten (10) specified manufacturers?
A1. See revised Attachment.
Q2. Part C.3.2 titled “Manufacturers” of the Solicitation states “Contractor shall provide the products from all of the following manufacturers: Herman Miller (Action Office 2, including Geiger products), Allsteel, Steelcase, Inscape, Kimball, Teknion, Paoli, National, JSI, and Logiflex.” However, the Government’s answer to Question 36 states “The Government desires the offerors have the capability to provide all listed manufacturers.” Additionally, the Government’s answer to Question 13 detailed that offerors are not limited to only providing products from the listed manufacturers. Will the Government confirm that the offerors are required to have the ability to provide products from all of the ten (10) listed manufacturers?
A2. At minimum, offerors shall have the ability to provide products from the named manufacturers if required by an Order. If an Order does not specify, different manufacturers may be proposed.
Q3. The Government’s response to question 21 detailed that facilities may be required to be provided by the contractor as detailed at the order level, if required. Will the contractor have the ability to price for such facilities costs at the task order level?
A3. If required, the specifics would be determined at that time.
Q4. The Government’s response to question 32 stated that wage determinations would be provided at the order level. Will the contractor be allowed to revise the labor rates at the order level dependent upon the performance location?
A4. Contractors would be able to propose labor rates for performance areas outside of the DC Metro area.
Q5. The Government’s response to question 37 does not appear to address the first part of the question of which states “Is an ‘Or Equal’ acceptable?” Will the Government detail whether or not “or equal” will be acceptable?
A5. If a named manufacturer is not requested at the order level, other products can be proposed.
Q6. The Government’s response for the first question in question 43 stated that GPC cards will be utilized. Due to any fees that the contractors may experience with GPC purchases that will impact contractor pricing, will the Government provide historical information regarding GPC purchases?
A6. No, if available, this information would need to be extrapolated, compiled and consolidated from multiple Bureaus. Due to the threshold at which card holders are able to make

purchases, it is not anticipated that GPC purchases would have a substantial impact on an offerors pricing.
Q7. Per Question and Answer # 54 under Amendment 0001 it is mentioned that “ A revised
Attachment will be provided “ in relation to the discounting spreadsheet. Can you please let us know when that might be available to allow us to begin our pricing process.
A7. Included with this Amendment.
