The locations include Barnett Park, Bithlo Community Park, Capehart Park, Downey Park, Dr. Phillips Community Park, Fort Gatlin Recreation Complex, and Barber Park. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing repairs, and managing chemical levels, with specific performance requirements including adherence to industry standards, federal and local safety codes, and maintaining pH levels between 7.4 and 7.6.
The bid response form indicates the contract will be for 12 months, with provisions for standard and non-standard repair hours. The contract includes two primary lots: Lot A for preventative maintenance (covering monthly services at each location) and Lot B for chemicals and sanitation. The chemical procurement component involves estimated quantities for bulk liquid chlorine (17,000 gallons), muriatic acid (80 one-gallon and 25 fifteen-gallon containers), and sulfuric acid (475 fifteen-gallon containers). The bid allows for parts and materials reimbursement with a potential markup or markdown option, and contractors must submit supporting cost documentation. The total estimated parts and materials budget is $10,000, with bidders required to specify their markup or markdown percentage.
