About this file
The document is a bid solicitation (Bid2026-270) from the City of Warwick, Rhode Island, requesting bids for overhead door repair and replacement services for various municipal facilities including the Warwick Fire Department (10 stations) and Department of Public Works (5 locations). The bid is scheduled to be opened on November 19, 2025, with bid specifications available from October 30, 2025. The contract term is for one year, from March 5, 2026, through March 4, 2027, with a potential one-year extension option upon mutual agreement. Bidders must submit one original and two copies of their sealed bid, with no facsimile or email submissions accepted.
The pricing sheet requires vendors to provide hourly rates for regular, overtime, and holiday work with one or two technicians, along with a percentage discount on parts. Bidders must also specify the warranty term for parts and labor. The City has strict requirements for billing, including no additional charges for travel, mileage, or miscellaneous expenses, and all work orders require prior approval. The successful bidder must provide a Certificate of General Liability Insurance for $1 million, naming the City of Warwick as an additional insured, and potentially a Certificate of Good Standing. The City reserves the right to reject any bid and may consult multiple purchasing consortiums, including RI State MPA, NASPO, MHEC, Sourcewell, and OMNIA Partners.
