DESCRIPTION: The Department of the Interior will host an Industry Day on March 27, 2026, at 11:00 am EDT at the Main Interior Building (MIB, 1849 C Street NW, Washington, DC 20240). Details will be provided in a future amendment to this notice.
The purpose of the event is to engage with industry regarding a future solicitation for civilian uniforms, patches, insignia, headwear, footwear, outerwear, and other related items, including a full service web-based ordering system, in support of the Department of Interior’s and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ employee uniform programs. The Government has not finalized the acquisition strategy and seeks input from industry about the best method(s) to accomplish its program and contract objectives during this market research phase.
The event will include an overview of the Government’s anticipated requirement and instructions for the next phase. It will be followed by individual meetings and written exchanges between the Government and interested parties that will occur within approximately one week after the event; meetings may be virtual. These exchanges will assist the Government in developing achievable requirements, understanding current commercial practices, assessing the availability of domestic sources for uniform components, and understanding current sourcing, ordering, fulfillment, and market constraints. Vendor participation will help the Government to assess interest in the procurement and industry capabilities. In-person attendees may also network with each other and examine representative uniform samples from participating bureaus.
Prior to the Industry Day, this notice will be amended to include details such as building entry protocols and meeting room number. We may also attach documents with more detailed descriptions of the anticipated procurement and questions the Government has for industry representatives. After the event, we plan to amend the notice to append a list of attendees to facilitate industry communications.
RSVP: Interested parties should email the completed registration form to Sarah_Welch@nps.gov and Jaime_mijares@nps.gov no later than 11:00 AM MDT March 23, 2026.
NOTICE: This Industry Day is for the government to provide information to interested parties and to receive feedback from interested parties to facilitate further market research and acquisition planning. The Government will not pay for information provided or for travel expenses for industry representatives to attend this event. This is not a solicitation;
it is a Special Notice for the Industry Day event.
