About this file

This document is a Quality Assurance Provision (QAP) for Fuel Oil, Burner No. 2 S5000 issued by DLA Energy in June 2021, specifying detailed technical requirements for fuel oil delivery across multiple countries. The document outlines precise specifications for Burner Oil, Grade No. 2, including a maximum sulfur content of 0.50 weight percent, blending requirements that permit mixing compatible grades through mechanical methods, and mandatory dye requirements under U.S. regulations (specifically Solvent Red 164 dye concentration).

The QAP provides country-specific fuel specifications, including ASTM D396 (Grade 2) for the United States, STD UNI CTI 6579 (Grade B) for Italy, DIN 51603-1 (Regular Heating Oil) for Germany, and BS 2869 (Class D) for the United Kingdom. The document emphasizes environmental compliance, noting that supplies must meet federal, state, and local environmental requirements at the delivery location, with provisions for contractors to request equitable adjustments if compliance with more stringent requirements incurs additional costs.
