Upon Receipt of each trailer the contractor will inspect them

All trailers shall be inspected upon receipt and a listing of all required repairs and associated costs submitted to DLA-Energy

Review contractors documentation to verify trailer inspections are being performed and reports are being submitted to DLA- Energy

Trailer tubes and manifolds require hydrostatic testing or Acoustic Emission (AE) testing

Perform hydrostatic testing of tubes IAW DOT 49 CFR and pressure testing of manifolds IAW ASME standards or for AE IAW DOT Special Permit

Review test logs to assure tests were performed properly

Replace manifold burst discs 100% tube manifold rupture discs shall be replaced with minimum torque value of 40 ft - lbs

Randomly inspect work performance logs and rupture discs

Contractor shall only install a pressure gauge on each trailer manifold as directed per Delivery order.

Per delivery order the pressure gauge shall be installed with an isolation valve; pressure gages shall have a range of no less that 0-3,000 psi and no more than 0-4,000 psi and shall have a 4” to 5” dial that is easy to read.

Confirms that - the prescribed trailer has installed pressure gauge.

Hydrostatic test; After reassembly of tubes their internal surface shall be rinsed with water

All internal surfaces that will be in contact with product shall be rinsed clean; water used for rinsing shall meet requirements of ASTM D 1193, Type IV

Verify that rinsing is performed on internal surfaces and that water used meets requirements of ASTM D 1193, Type IV
