1.Could you please provide us a Gram Weight List for each Item requested on your Excel file?
Answer: Please see new “Revised Attachment 1” The revised attachment 1 provides an acceptable range of weights for each item.
2.Do you think is possible to provide us more information regarding packaging for each item delivered? Do you have any specific requirements?
Answer: Per Solicitation Section IV - PERFORMANCE AND DELIVERY, Packaging/Marking “All goods must be protected from the elements (rain, snow) /covered to prevent contamination during the delivery process.” There are no other special requirements.
Additionally, commercially offered items are anticipated to be quoted and it is understood that some requested items are packaged in a particular fashion and commonly available in the commercial marketplace packaged as such (i.e. 3 pieces of product X per package, etc.)
3. In the att. ‘’Additional Information, Instructions, and Responsibilities” you specified that all deliveries should be palletized. Due to the fact that we shall deliver only fresh products my question is:
Pallets delivered together with products will still become the US Government property?
Answer: Yes, if a pallet is required for the packaging and delivery of products then they shall be one-way pallets. Per the “Additional Information, Instructions, and Responsibilities” document, “Receiving installations may return or exchange plastic shipping containers and pallets at the time of delivery.”
4. In the att. ‘’Additional Information, Instructions, and Responsibilities” you specified the delivery schedule between 500am and 800am. Do you think is possible to use the same truck for 2 deliveries, between the mentioned hours?
Meaning:
- First delivery to be at 05:00 am and deliver bread products
- Second delivery 7:00 am and deliver cakes products.
Or it is mandatory all products to be delivered at the same time?
Answer: Deliveries do not need to be made at the same time. They can be separated so long as they are within the hours of 0500 and 0800 on the same day.
5. Can you provide us an estimative quantity order, starting from a minimum and maximum quantity for the entire list of ordering products?
Answer: Please see “Revised Attachment 1”
Please note, the U.S. Government intends to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement as a result of this solicitation. As such, there is no minimum guarantee or maximum. Additionally, these figures are provided solely as estimates and they are not a guarantee, nor a commitment, to purchase these quantities.
6. If there will be substantial orders quantity modifications, I would like to know with how long before we shall be notified about the increased quantities?
Answer: It is not anticipated that substantial order quantity modifications will be requested after an order has been placed, however, we require the vendor to provide a minimum ordering amount for each delivery, the delivery lead time from the date an order is placed, and also the order cancellation lead time from the date that an order is placed. In the event that any changes or modifications to an order are requested, we would determine if the request falls within any of these lead times when considering whether to continue with submitting the request or not.
7. In case we shall be awarded for this BPA what period of time will be from the awarded date until the first delivery date?
Answer: We are unable to guarantee any dates with regard to when the first order will be placed, but it is reasonable to estimate that orders will begin within 1 month from the BPA start date.
