Amendment 1 – Questions and Answers
Question 1: Is the indicator currently running any custom programs?
Answer 1: No
Question 2: How many load cells are connected to the scale?
Answer 2: Based on our best knowledge it has 12 30FT Analog load cells.
Question 3: Are there any additional devices connected to the indicator besides the scale base?
Answer 3: Nothing else is connected to the indicator.
Question 4: The bid mentions structural evaluation of the scale of which we would not be able to perform without direct access. Our bid will only cover replacement of load cells, mounts, electronics, cables, and indicator. We will evaluate for structural needs at the time of replacement and provide a quote if needed. Is this correct?
Answer 4: As for a structural evaluation on the scale, it was observed that they would be installing the new electronics and load cells etc. The technician also mentioned if additional repairs or replacements were necessary, they would bring it up during the installation of the new parts, but they could not assume until work started. So, they are correct in stating that’s the expectation cause until they remove the load cells they can have a better understanding on the structural evaluation of the scale.
