About this file

This document is an Attachment 3: Questions and Answers for a federal solicitation for forklift units. The Q&A provides critical technical specifications for 36,000-pound forklifts being purchased by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) through an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Key technical requirements include a minimum lift height of 12 ft, a high visibility duplex (free view) mast, a 24" load center rating, and side shift capability of at least 6 inches on each side of the center. The forklifts will be purchased, not rented, and delivered to DLA Disposition Services sites within the Continental United States (CONUS).

The contract will be a firm fixed price for a base period and two option periods, with no additional features required beyond those specified in the Statement of Work. Offerors must provide complete technical specifications demonstrating how their equipment meets the salient characteristics. The procurement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 811310, with a size standard of 900 employees, and will be evaluated on a Lowest-Price Technically Acceptable basis.
