About this file

This amendment modifies a solicitation for industrial hygiene and ergonomic program support services. The services are required by the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution facility located in San Joaquin, California and include providing an on-site certified industrial hygienist for 24 hours per week and telework for the remaining 16 hours. As needed support of up to 30 hours per year is also required from a California certified asbestos consultant available within 48 hours of notification. The amendment provides answers to vendor questions, which clarify that the proposal due date is as stated in Amendment 0001 and that priced quotes should incorporate 30 hours annually of asbestos consultant support for each contract line item. A certified industrial hygienist may telework two days per week if not needed on-site.

Answer 1. Please see Amendment 0001.

Question 2. In our price quote, should we itemize contractor provided supplies for each CLIN?

Answer 2. There is no requirement to submit an itemized list of contractor provided supplies.

Question 3. The RFP states that questions must be submitted NLT 3PM ET on 22 December, 2002. Yet the SAM.gov notification states that the proposal due date is 22 December, 2022. Please state what the correct proposal due date and time is, and who the proposal should be submitted to.

Question 4. CLINS 0001 and 1001 is to provide IH and Erognomic Program support for the base year and option year 1. In the PWS, it calls out two key positions, a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and a California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC). The CAC requirement is on an as-needed basis, not to exceed (30) hours per year, and must be available within 48 hours of notification from the COR. How are we to provide a cost for this CAC support? Should we factor in 30 hours of CAC time each year in each of the CLINs?

Answer 4. 30 Hours of CAC support should be factored into each year.

Question 5. Place of performance is at the DLA facility in Tracy, CA. Will the CIH be able to telecommute if there is not a requirement for that person to be onsite?
