About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado HealthCare System, Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, for a firm-fixed contract to deliver one Sonosite ST ultrasound system for Cath/Lab services. The procurement includes seven contract line items (CLINs): the primary ultrasound unit (Sonosite ST or equal), a small basket, steep needle profiling kit, L12-3 transducer, two manuals, a user guide USB, and Sonosite Institute Point-of-Care Ultrasound training. The equipment must meet specific physical specifications including a minimum 21-inch screen, 60-degree tilting capability, four transducer ports, 128GB image storage, 30-minute minimum battery life, and maximum dimensions of 67.5" H x 23.9" W x 43" D weighing no more than 280 pounds.

The ultrasound system must support comprehensive scanning modes including 2D, 3D freehand, navigation software, image fusion, tissue harmonic imaging, M-Mode, and multiple Doppler modes (pulsed wave, continuous wave, velocity color, and power Doppler). Required control interfaces include a physical keyboard, touchscreen monitor, and articulating support arm for flexible viewing. Additional mandatory capabilities include panoramic mode, multi-modality display, image annotation, customizable PACS-compatible forms, patient worklist creation without network connection, needle enhancement, digital calipers, and shear wave/strain-based elastography. The system must include analysis packages for procedural, abdominal, musculoskeletal, small parts, vascular, pelvic, urology, and breast imaging, plus a fusion-targeted biopsy system capable of accepting MRI and ultrasound images with real-time 3D needle tracking. Delivery is required within 30 days of award to Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, during Monday-Friday operating hours (0700-1500). The contract includes a five-year manufacturer's warranty, security requirements mandating OEM-supported operating systems, DICOM compatibility, wireless 802.11b/g/n connectivity with FIPS 140-2 compliance, encrypted hard drives, and AGFA PACS compatibility. Vendors must provide two operating and maintenance manuals (electronic and physical) and compiled maintenance schedules in binder format.
