Summary of SOW_Spec_-_RFQ197216_FINAL.pdf

This Scope of Work document outlines specifications for the City of Palo Alto's procurement of bulk chemical solutions for the Rinconada Pools facility located at 777 Embarcadero Road. The City requests pricing for the purchase and delivery of 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite Solution to be delivered as needed to a 1,000-gallon tank located in the mechanical room, and 14.5% Muriatic Acid Solution to be delivered as needed to a 350-gallon tank located just outside the mechanical room. The bidder must establish a delivery schedule ensuring tanks are never depleted, with estimated annual usage of 22,000 to 26,000 gallons of Sodium Hypochlorite Solution and 6,000 to 8,000 gallons of Muriatic Acid Solution. The vendor is required to provide same-day emergency delivery response, including weekends and holidays, at no additional cost to the City if tanks become depleted. Vendors are advised to inspect the delivery access prior to bidding due to limited truck access. Delivery scheduling is restricted to 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to truck route restrictions and community noise ordinances, and vendors must contact the Facilities Help Line at (650) 496-6900 prior to each delivery to ensure locked tank areas are accessible.

Pricing shall be quoted on a per-gallon basis and must be all-inclusive except for sales tax, incorporating regulatory compliance, fuel surcharge, delivery charges, California mill tax, California pesticide assessment fees, and any other applicable taxes or fees. Vendors are prohibited from making any modifications to the tank filling systems and must follow all safe work practices during delivery and filling operations. The document does not specify response deadlines, bid due dates, site visit requirements, bidder conferences, award dates, or contract term information in the provided excerpt.
