RF LAB OPERATING FREQUENCY RANGE UPGRADE
STATEMENT OF WORK
1.0 General
1.1 Introduction
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is the Department of Defense (DoD) Energetics Center and serves as the DoD Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Program lead.
NSWC IHD provides research, development, engineering, manufacturing, test, evaluation and in-service support of energetics and energetic materials (chemicals, propellants and explosives) for ordnance, warheads, propulsion systems, pyrotechnic devices, fuzing, electronic devices, Cartridge Actuated Devices and Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PADs), Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T), gun systems and special weapons for Navy, Joint Forces, and the Nation. In addition to providing state-of-the-art reverse engineering capabilities in support of the EOD mission, NSWC IH is also the center of excellence for the development, testing, fielding, sustainment and associated documentation supporting render safe and disposition operations by the DOD EOD community.
NSWC IHD requires the purchase of specialized Radio Frequency (RF) laboratory equipment in order to augment critical test capabilities and remain effective in defeating the ever evolving IED threat.
