About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details electrical circuit installation for the National Defense Program (NDP) at the Caribbean Air Marine Operations Center (CAMOC) in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. The project involves installing two electrical circuits to power two new storage trailers at the Maritime Approaches Surveillance Towers (MAST) Site Z, with specific requirements including running 2" Schedule 80 PVC conduits approximately 200 feet from Panel 3, sawcutting and excavating an asphalt road, installing underground conduits, and adding two 100 Amp, 2-pole circuit breakers.

The electrical contractor must complete all work within 30 days of award, conforming to the National Electrical Code and local regulations. Key deliverables include providing a project schedule, establishing daily stakeholder meetings, running and labeling electrical circuits, and ensuring proper grounding and installation. Upon completion, the contractor must energize the trailers, notify NDP, test and certify each electrical circuit using a licensed electrician, and undergo NDP inspection to verify compliance with design and project requirements.

SERVICES STATEMENT OF WORK

For

Installation of Two (2) Electrical Circuits at MAST Site Z to Supply Power to

Two (2) New Storage Trailers for the NDP MAST Program

1. Background and Overview This statement of work will be issued for the design, construction, installation, and implementation activities associated with the development and sustainment of the Maritime Approaches Surveillance Towers (MAST) to meet the mission requirements of the NAS Defense Programs (NDP) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). MAST currently provides primary and supplemental coverage for the existing surveillance system infrastructure in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

2. Purpose

The National Defense Program (NDP) seeks, through this project, to install two (2) electrical circuits to provide power to two (2) new storage trailers located at the MAST Site Z facility.

3. Scope of work

Electrical Contractor will provide services for the following:

• Run, install, and secure 2” Schedule 80 PVC conduits from Panel 3, located inside the building, to a new 12” x 12” PVC junction box near the trailer location. The total conduit run shall be approximately two hundred feet (200 ft.) in length.

• A portion of the conduit, approximately fifty feet (50 ft.), shall be routed under the building floor from Panel 3 to the outside wall of the building and drill a hole of 2” on the wall facing the asphalt road. This section shall utilize nonmetallic PVC conduit.

• Saw-cut and excavate the asphalt road to form a trench measuring approximately 6 inches wide (6”) by 18 inches deep (18”) for the installation of approximately twenty-five feet (25 ft.) of underground conduit. Upon completion, the trench shall be backfilled, compacted, and resurfaced with asphalt to match the existing surface condition.

• The remaining portion of the conduit, running across the grass area near the trailers, shall be installed below grade. The trench shall be backfilled with the same excavated earth and the surface restored to its original condition.

• Install one (1) 12” x 12” PVC junction box near the trailer location, completing the exterior conduit run of approximately one hundred forty feet (140 ft.).

• Provide and install two (2) 100 Amp, 2-pole circuit breakers on Panel 3 inside the building. The new breakers shall match the existing type and manufacturer.

• Run, terminate, and label two (2) electrical circuits using #2 AWG conductors and one (1) #6 AWG grounding conductor from Panel 3 to the newly installed junction box.

All wiring shall be properly identified and labeled for circuit identification and verification.

• Furnish all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to perform the described work in full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local regulations.
