This contract is administered by the FBI Redstone Arsenal Finance and Facilities Division, Redstone Facilities Support Services section (FFD-RFSS) to provide safe and efficient facilities for FBI tenants to perform their respective duties as required by operational mission requirements.
1.2. Project Description. FFD-RFSS has the requirement to provide firing range cleaning, maintenance, and lead removal services for the Defensive Systems Unit (DSU) firing range and workshop areas located at B.7100 Redstone Road, Redstone Arsenal, Al 35898 and the Ballistics Research Facility (BRF) located at B.6315 Martin Rd, Redstone Arsenal Al 35898. The purpose of this requirement is to establish and maintain a clean and healthy work environment that is free of airborne and surface heavy metals and to ensure all range ventilation air filtration systems function properly.
1.3. Scope of Work. This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for range cleaning services to meet FBI objectives. The scope of work covers firearm range maintenance and lead cleaning services at the following areas:
Ballistics Research Facility (BRF) B.6315
Range # 1 is a 25ft by 400ft open ended range. This range has an outside air handling unit that contains filtration banks to clean and recirculate the air from the range that contains pleated (pre-filters), bag (mid-filters) and HEPA filtration which require annual filter replacement as listed on the filter change schedule within this document.
Range #2 is a 25ft by 125 ft indoor range with an Action Target metal trap with Vortec deceleration chambers. The range has an Action Target Dust Collection Unit (DCU) with HEPA filters that will require annual servicing.
