About this file

The document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) interchange form for Request for Quote (RFQ) 15F06725Q0000227 for FBI Indoor Firearms Range Maintenance and Cleaning Services at multiple facilities. The solicitation covers maintenance and cleaning services for indoor firearms ranges at Ballistic Research Facility (B.6315) Range 1 and Range 2, and Defense Systems Unit (B.7100), with specific requirements for filter maintenance, berm raking, target track cleaning, and lead dust mitigation.

Key details include the contract being a consolidation of two previous contracts, with the FBI supplying filters and specifying that contractors must have current RCRA awareness training. The ranges involve multiple bullet traps of varying sizes (10'H10'W26' to 10'H30'W36'), quarterly and annual cleaning frequencies for different components, and specific maintenance tasks such as cleaning ceiling baffles, target rails, and air filtration units. The contractor will be responsible for preparing waste for FBI transport and must employ methods to prevent lead dust loading in range areas.

Offeror Question Government Response

I wanted to ask if there have been any changes to the clauses, Statement of Work, or other key sections compared to the previous solicitation for this requirement.

Offerors should submit quotes solely based on the requirements listed in the Solicitation Package for RFQ 15F06725Q0000227. Previous solicitations should not be used as a basis for this solicitation.

Also, we noticed that the current pricing CLIN sheet doesn’t have enough space to provide a detailed material breakdown. In the previous version, there were more rows available for this, which made it easier to separate labor and material costs. Would it be possible to update the pricing sheet to include additional rows similar to the previous format?

Offerors are allowed to edit the pricing spreadsheet to include additional rows for a more detailed breakdown of costs.

we couldn’t find a line item for HEPA filter cleaning in the current price sheet, which was included in the prior version. Could you please confirm if that section has been removed or will be included later?

We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.

This contract is a consolidation of two previous contracts.

If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?
