Statement of Work (SOW)
Project: Replacement of bamboo flooring for breakroom.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Cereal Crops Research Unit (CCRU), is requesting on site services for the replacement of the bamboo flooring in the facility breakroom. This service will include all related functions such as replacement of vinyl cover base and moisture control.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Background: The current flooring is a Bamtex, bamboo, flooring with a 5/8” thickness, and a 3-5/8” face width. This flooring is obsolete and covers an area of approximately 754 square feet. The current 4” vinyl base covering extends approximately 120 ft.
2.0 Scope of Work: Contractor shall verify requirements prior to submitting a proposal. Arrive on site; remove vinyl base covering and old flooring and prepare the surface area for installation of new flooring. Install new flooring.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: Licensed technicians.
4.0 Government Furnished Equipment: None.
5.0 Deliverables Scheduled: All deliverables required should arrive at the CCRU loading dock during the normal hours of operation (Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm).
6.0 Travel: Government travel is not authorized. Trip charges/fees will be pre-approved and outlined in the service/repair contract.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: The contractor is responsible for supplying personnel pertinent to the job function. Supervision and coordination of personnel will be the responsibility of the contractor.
8.0 Security Requirements: As applicable, all incoming personnel must report to the building administration and/or maintenance personnel upon arrival for sign-in purposes (interior work). If required to enter the building, all personnel will receive a verbal screening for COVID-19 (if applicable) and be escorted throughout the facility. All contractors are expected to follow current hygiene protocols.
9.0 Place of Performance: Except for deliveries and loading/unloading of equipment, all contractor interior tasks will be performed within the external area of the facility as illustrated on attachment.
10.0 Period of Performance: 30 days after the Date of Award.
11.0 Data Rights: Proprietary information applicable to contractor tasks should be outlined with guidance to protect that information if warranted.
12.0 Section 508 – Electronic and Information Technology Standards: N/A
