(ESS) (ANSI).
3. All survey work will be accomplished on energized equipment unless an outage is required due to specific equipment safety conditions. All requests for outages must be submitted in writing 5 Business days prior to and approved by the Facility Manager/Chief Engineer. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) shall be used where it is necessary to remove covers/open equipment thereby exposing live buses or other energized components.
