About this file

This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for brick paver maintenance and repair issued by the City of Fort Myers, Florida. The project encompasses comprehensive maintenance and new installation of brick pavers in the downtown area, specifically between Edwards Dr. and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and between Fowler St. and Monroe St. Work includes pressure washing, repairing and straightening loose pavers, replacing broken pavers, regrading sunken areas, and installing new pavers in roadways and sidewalks. Each roadway repair location is limited to a 24-hour closure, with the City providing traffic control devices and the contractor responsible for submitting a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan for approval.

The project requires detailed technical specifications for paver installation, including excavation depths of 12" for roadways and 10" for sidewalks, compaction requirements, base layer installation, and precise paver and polymeric sand placement. The contractor must use city-approved stock pavers for replacements, provide a hydrant meter for water usage, and ensure all work conforms to City of Fort Myers Design standards from September 2004. While specific pricing details are not provided in the SOW, the related contract opportunity indicates the City is seeking qualified respondents to perform sanding, leveling, repairing, and new installation of brick pavers across various urban surfaces, with work to be performed on an as-needed basis.
