STATEMENT OF WORK

HVAC - at Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery, 11110 Kimages Road, Charles City, VA 23030

1. General:

1.1 Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery has a need for a new HVAC unit in the main office building.

1.2 Current unit is 30 years old. Multiple repairs are made each year and parts for this unit are becoming difficult to obtain. We wish to have the old fuel burning unit removed as well as the oil tank and replaced with an economically and environmentally sound HVAC unit that is reliable and energy efficient. We wish to have a minimum 3 Ton 14 S.E.E.R unit, all necessary lines, structural pad, thermostat, heater units and heat pump installed, the old unit removed and hauled away, and the oil tank hauled away.

1.3 Contractor is to be able to provide new HVAC unit and accessory items listed in section 3.1.

2. Performance

2.1 The project period of performance is to be completed no later than 90 days after award. Project will take place at Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery, main office building.

2.2 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.

2.3 Non duty hours include week nights, weekends, and Government holidays.

3. Scope

3.1 Contractor shall supply minimum 3-ton, seer 14 heat pump, structural pad, snow legs, new line set, new matching air handler, 15 Kw heater kit, EZ trap with condensate shut off switch, drain pan, thermostat for temperature control, supply electrical circuit from panel to new unit, removal of old unit and removal of empty outdoor oil tank. All lines will be removed along with the Flue Pipe going through the roof. Roofing will be shingled over where old flue pipe used to penetrate. A 60 Amp and 30 Amp Electrical circuit will be run from the panel box to the new air handler. Contractor shall notify hatchery manager immediately of any problems or delay in completion or disruption of daily hatchery activities.

4. Deliverables and/or Delivery Schedule:

4.1 Additional specifics of deliverables required for the project are below:

a. Disconnect and remove old unit

b. Install structural pad, snow legs

c. Install heat pump, air handler with shut off switch, and heater kit

d. Connect all new lines, drain pan, and electric circuit

e. Connect new thermostat and test unit

e. Remove old unit and remove drained oil tank

f. Remove lines and Flue pipe going through the roof

g. Re-shingle roof where flue pipe did exist

h. Run electrical to new unit

i. Test new unit

4.2 Provide product manuals or documentation is necessary.

5. Evaluation and Acceptance

5.1 The Government reserves the right to evaluated work at any time.

6. Quality Control/Quality Assurance:

6.1 For commercial supplies reference clauses for inspection and acceptance. Where appropriate, QC will be maintained according to industry standards and made available to the agency prior to start of work.

6.2 Quality control measures include functioning unit.

6.3 To be eligible for award, a current Professional Contractor License(s) for subject work and a Class A

License number must be submitted with or shortly after proposal.
