About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details engine component reconditioning services for the US Coast Guard, specifically for a MTU 20V4000M93L engine's crankcase and crankshaft. The contract (Solicitation Number 70Z04025QBLKCRNK) requires the contractor to rework/remanufacture one crankcase and one crankshaft, with six specific Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) covering cleaning, machining, inspection, and parts replacement. Key requirements include hot tank cleaning, cylinder bore machining, crankshaft polishing, oil passage flushing, and installing new components like crankshaft gear and various bearings.
The work must be performed according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, with a four-week performance period from receipt of materials. The US Coast Guard will ship components to and from the vendor, and the contractor must be OEM-authorized for this specific engine series. Quotes are due by 7/25/2025 at 12:00 AM Eastern, to be emailed to Kenneth Tankersley, with award based on best value considering technical requirements, deadlines, and pricing. The project points of contact include LCDR Marie De Visser and Mr. Walt Skowrunski from the US Coast Guard.
