The project requires a mobile crane with a licensed operator to replace twelve cab glass windows during a twelve-day period from October 16-27, 2025, involving 64 hours of weekday work, 20 hours of Saturday work, and 20 hours of Sunday work. The crane must be capable of lifting glass units weighing up to 4,000 pounds, with a lift radius of approximately 115 feet, and cannot exceed a crane tip height of 139 feet above ground level.
The vendor is responsible for providing detailed CAD-generated site drawings, a comprehensive lift plan, crane mobilization/demobilization, necessary permits, and documentation of operator certifications. The work will take place at the BRO ATCT Tower located at 905 Minnesota Ave in Brownsville, TX. Key requirements include performing a site survey, installing crane mats, complying with airport regulations, and being responsible for any damage during crane operations. Technical questions can be directed to FAA Cab Glass Lead Technicians Michael Buchanan and Karl Irwin, with site survey coordination through Derrick Ordner, the BRO SSC Manager.
