About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the fabrication, delivery, and installation of exterior signage and an entrance awning at the Portsmouth Federal Building in Portsmouth, Virginia (431 Crawford Street, Portsmouth, VA 23704).

The project requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to replace existing building signs with new signage reflecting the updated United States Coast Guard branding and organizational structure. The main building sign shall measure 96" by 288" and must comply with specific design requirements including Helvetica, Arial, or Univers Bold font; UV and weather-resistant material; multi-panel construction with individual panel replacement capability; and text displaying "U.S. Department of Homeland Security," "United States," "Coast Guard," "Commander Atlantic Area," and "Commander East Coast Guard District" with first letters capitalized but not all capitals. The entrance awning sign shall measure 288" by 11" with centered text reading "U.S. Coast Guard" using matching font and weather-resistant lettering. All signage must be securely mounted using weather-resistant hardware with level installation, sealed against water intrusion, and without damage to existing structures. The contractor must conduct a pre-fabrication site visit, submit design proofs for approval, remove and dispose of existing signage, and perform site cleanup. Design proofs and mockups are due no later than September 20, 2025, with all work to be completed by October 30, 2025. The Government Point of Contact is Keith Beko, Facilities Operations Specialist, at (571) 607-2527 or Keith.A.Beko@uscg.mil.
