About this file

This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is a market research document issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command for a Self-Help Laundry system (NSN 3510-01-440-9167). The government seeks potential sources with expertise in producing 61 Self-Help Laundry systems annually for a potential 5-year contract. Each laundry system must include five top-loading washers, five stacked dryers, an electrical system, and a water system with a 3,000-gallon water tank, water heater, supply and drain pumps, designed for continuous field operation.

The document includes a comprehensive Contractor Capability Survey with detailed questions covering business information, general capabilities, hardware production, and commerciality. Interested companies are required to provide responses via email to Anna Isom and Ayonna Webb by May 20, 2025. The survey requests information on manufacturing capabilities, production capacity, lead times, quality assurance processes, and technical data generation. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, with joint ventures and teaming arrangements specifically welcomed. Participants are cautioned that survey participation does not guarantee future solicitation or contract awards, and the government will not reimburse participation expenses.
