About this file
This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is a market research document issued by the United States Air Force to identify potential contractors for Access Control System (ACS) maintenance and repair services. The synopsis seeks vendors with expertise in repairing ACS equipment for USAF personnel, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 561621 and a size standard of $25 million. The government is conducting market research to identify sources possessing the necessary production/repair data, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the ACS equipment listed in the attached Master Equipment List.
Interested contractors must submit emailed responses by close of business on 3 July 2025 to Contracting Specialist Brenda Smith and Contracting Officer Michael Shand. The document encourages participation from both large and small businesses, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements. Respondents are required to provide detailed business information, including company details, NAICS code classification, ownership status, and capability survey responses covering general capabilities, repair expertise, and commerciality. The synopsis emphasizes that this is a market research effort and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with responses not guaranteeing future contract opportunities, and all response costs being the responsibility of the participating companies.
