About this file

This is a Sources Sought announcement from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division for market research purposes.

NIST is seeking information from vendors capable of providing Microwave Amplifiers with 1.5K Noise Temperature. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals, Request for Quotation, or binding commitment to award a contract. The market research will be used to determine acquisition methodology and identify potential small business set-aside opportunities. NIST is specifically requesting responses from all responsible sources—both large and small businesses—and requires vendors to identify the country of product manufacture. The requirement is assigned NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. If at least two qualified small businesses meeting the specifications are identified, the acquisition will be solicited as a small business set-aside.

Interested vendors must submit electronic capability statements limited to four pages or less to Contract Specialist Matthew M. Delgado at matthew.delgado@nist.gov by the deadline specified in the notice. Required information includes: company name providing and manufacturing the product, country of origin/manufacture, specification/data sheets with examples demonstrating capability, typical lead time for delivery, and any other relevant information for NIST's specifications development. No quotes will be accepted at this time, and proprietary information should be clearly marked. Company sales brochures and marketing packages will not be considered as responses.
