About this file

This is a Sources Sought notice issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division for a UV Frequency Doubler commercial product purchase. This is not a Request for Quotation or Proposal and does not constitute a commitment by the Government to award a contract. The notice serves as market research to identify potential vendors capable of meeting the specified requirements and to determine if sufficient qualified small businesses exist to warrant a small business set-aside procurement.

Interested vendors must submit electronic capability statements limited to four pages or less to Contract Specialist Matthew M. Delgado at matthew.delgado@nist.gov by the deadline posted in the notice. Responses must include: company name providing and manufacturing the product, country of origin or manufacture, specification/data sheets and product examples demonstrating compliance with requirements, typical lead time for delivery, and any other relevant information for specification development. The requirement is classified under NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including both large and small businesses. If at least two qualified small businesses are identified during market research, the acquisition will be solicited as a small business set-aside. No quotes will be accepted at this time, and the Government will not compensate vendors for information submitted. Company sales brochures or marketing packages will not be considered; proprietary information should be clearly marked.
