About this file

This document is a technical specification for a UV frequency doubler system (Item 1).

The device must accept input at 534.0 nm (±0.1 nm) with power ranging from 200–500 mW delivered via fiber-coupled PM460 optical fiber with 3.3 μm mode field diameter and input linewidth below 100 kHz. The system must produce output power exceeding 15 mW at 267 nm when supplied with 200 mW input at 534 nm, with a cavity lock bandwidth greater than 20 kHz. The unit includes all necessary optics and electronics for input coupling and cavity locking, incorporates an electro-optic modulator for generating a Pound-Drever-Hall error signal, and features 19-inch rack-mounted digital control electronics with automatic relock capability. The system must provide temperature control for the non-linear optical crystal, employ a temperature-insensitive cavity design for environmental robustness, include a hermetically sealed doubling cavity with provisions for desiccant pouches, and allow cavity and crystal alignment from outside without breaking the seal. The non-linear optical crystal must be antireflection-coated. Long-term stability of frequency doubling efficiency for greater than six months without realignment or crystal repositioning is specified on a best-effort basis. The system is designed for installation in a temperature-controlled laboratory environment (dT < 0.5°C).
