About this file
This Sources Sought Notice is a market research document issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to identify potential vendors for Custom UHV Flow Cryostats. NIST is seeking capability statements from businesses, with a preference for small business set-aside opportunities, under NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
Interested companies must submit a four-page electronic capability statement by the specified date to Matthew Delgado via email, including details such as company name, manufacturing location, product specifications, lead times, and country of origin. The document emphasizes that this is not a formal Request for Quotation, but a preliminary market research tool to determine acquisition strategy. If at least two qualified small businesses are identified, NIST may pursue a small business set-aside procurement on sam.gov, though they are open to responses from businesses of all sizes.
