About this file

This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA) for market research purposes regarding a Mimaki UV Flatbed Printer with associated maintenance and training services. The anticipated contract will be classified under NAICS Code 811310 (Heavy machinery and equipment repair and maintenance services), with a small business threshold of $12,500,000. The contract will consist of a one-year base period and one-year option period. VACA is seeking industry input to identify a more precise NAICS code and determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, which may include setting aside the requirement for small businesses, soliciting from all responsible sources, or utilizing the GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS). The Government is particularly interested in responses from small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, and women-owned small businesses.

Interested vendors must submit a brief capabilities statement by 23 April 2026 at 1300 EST via email to Patrice.Martin@dodiis.mil and Brittany.Turner@dodiis.mil in Microsoft Word or PDF format. The statement must include company profile information (organization details, business size status, SAM Unique Entity ID, CAGE code, socio-economic certifications, and GSA/NASA SWEP schedule numbers if applicable), maintenance and training delivery approach with turnaround times, and relevant experience within the past three years demonstrating capability to provide the flatbed printer, maintenance, and training under similar contracts. This RFI is strictly for planning and market research purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, commitment to award a contract, or request for quotes or proposals. Responses will not be paid for, returned, or require Government notification of assessment results.
