About this file
This is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation W81K0026QA220, issued by the Department of the Army's Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch on July 27, 2026, effective for a laundry and linen services contract.
The amendment modifies the contract to address inquiries from industry and incorporates a Questions and Answers document (dated July 27, 2026) as a new attachment. Key changes include: updating Exhibit A Pricing with a new reference identifier and date; modifying the Loss or Damage (Weight of Articles) clause to establish liability for lost or damaged items at $1.00 per pound with a maximum allowable weight loss of 20 percent; and clarifying submission procedures. This is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with one ordering period from February 1, 2027, to January 31, 2032, consisting of five separate task orders (one per fiscal year). The contract covers hospital laundry services including processing of bedding, linens, patient gowns, surgical items, towels, and uniforms with an estimated annual volume of approximately 370,000 items in various categories requiring specialized handling methods (air dried, flat work ironed, folded, bundled, pressed, and hangers). Offerors must submit signed electronic quotes in three volumes (Administrative, Technical, and Price) to Clarence C. Cude at clarence.c.cude.civ@health.mil by July 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Joshua P. Barbero is the Contracting Officer. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit pricing on Exhibit A as a signed Excel spreadsheet with formula-based totals.
