It details the unique capabilities of the DiscovIR-GC system, which uses "direct deposition" to produce individual solid phase transmission spectra of components from gas chromatography (GC) separation. The letter states that Spectra Analysis Instruments, Inc. is the only company qualified to sell, market, and service the DiscovIR-GC system in the United States.

The related state and local contract opportunity is for a sole source contract to provide software updates for the DiscovIR-GC system to the Illinois State Police, Division of Forensic Services. Dear Amanda, The DiscovIR-GC® system is a GC-IR system which uses ‘Direct deposition’ as its operating principle. Components from the GC separation are deposited onto a cryogenically cooled Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) sample disk. The unique configuration provides individual solid phase transmission spectra of each component. No other GC-IR system has the capability to produce solid phase transmission spectra.

The IR spectral range of the DiscovIR-GC® is 4000-700cm-1. The sample may also be scanned post run to increase the signal to noise ratio. The DiscovIR-GC® system has many unique features which provide the best spectral quality and sensitivity available.

DiscovIR-GC® products are proudly manufactured in USA by Spectra Analysis Instruments, Inc. manufacturing facility at 257 Simarano Drive, Marlborough MA 01752 USA.

Our Customer Success Office located at 411 University Ridge, Greenville SC 29601 USA facilitates the Sales, Services and Application support in the Americas. Being the Spectra Analysis Instruments Inc., the sole manufacturer of DiscovIR-GC® and DiscovIR-LC® systems, we are the only company qualified to sell, market and service the DiscovIR-GC® direct deposition integrated system in the United States.

No other parties are authorized to perform the sales, or service on DiscovIR-GC® products in the United States.

Sincerely, Ben Johns Customer Success Manager, Americas
