STATEMENT OF WORK (SERVICES)

(SOW)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

Acquisition of service and maintenance agreement for Incucyte S3/Zoom for Functional Genomic Laboratory

Statement of Need and Purpose:

This request is for a service agreement renewal for the Incucyte S3/Zoom, located in the Functional Genomic Laboratory (FGL) at NCATS. This instrument is a real-time, live-cell cellular imaging and analysis system that operates in a regular tissue-culture incubator. Because the Incucyte is used to run long, high value experiments and functions in a humid and warm environment, regular maintenance is necessary to keep it accurate, prevent unexpected failures, shortens repair time, and protects experimental data and our investment.

Background Information and Objective:

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which mission it is to catalyze the generation of innovative methods and technologies that will enhance the development, testing and implementation of diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of human diseases and conditions.

In the FGL this is a critical tool for watching what happens to cells when we deliberately change a gene. The Incucyte functions like a time-lapse camera and provides kinetic data that allows us to measure cell behavior like growth, death, and migration, without having to remove the plates from the incubator and scan them on a microscope.

Period of Performance:

The period of performance will commence once the award is accepted, and will extend for a period of 12 months.

Independently and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all the necessary services, qualified personnel, material, equipment, and facilities, not otherwise provided by the Government as needed to perform the Statement of Work below:
